Dining, Entertainment, & Shopping
The Woody Creek Tavern is the heart of the community. The decor is simple - over forty years of various memorabilia are tacked to the walls, including Polaroids from hundreds of people who have passed through Woody Creek since its inception. As the local watering hole, the tavern has seen it all - legends like Hunter S. Thompson have graced the bar for a few drinks, and today, neighbors spend time swapping stories and laughing over a great meal in the “casually comfortable” atmosphere.
If you’re looking for a unique, thrill-seeking excursion, drive south along McLain Flats Road to the Aspen Motorsports Park. The 1.1-mile track is home to the Sports Car Club of America and the Aspen Racing and Racing Sports Car Club and features a members-only racing experience like no other.
